SBM Mineral Processing Brings Hybrid Crushing and Mobile Concrete to North America
High mobility and versatility, high uptime and class-leading production performance with precisely controllable product quality. Those are the key strengths SBM Mineral Processing claims for its mobile plant technology.
The Austrian manufacturer presented its mobile crushers and mobile concrete mixing plants together for the first time at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026. Backed by decades of engineering experience, SBM Mineral Processing is a full-line supplier for North America’s building materials production industry.

The Hybrid-Electrified Flagship
The tracked REMAX 600 large impact crusher made its North American trade show debut in Las Vegas. It works as a powerful primary crusher with a maximum capacity of 600 tph and a feed size of up to 40 in. Alternatively, it runs as a “mobile gravel or recycling plant” producing up to five end products in a single pass.
The 80-ton flagship of SBM Mobiles sets new benchmarks in quarries and recycling for SBM Mineral Processing. Notably, it delivers the performance of much larger machines in the 100–120 ton class. At the same time it offers significantly better mobility, flexibility and operating economy.
How the SBM Mineral Processing Hybrid Drive Works
All nine JAWMAX jaw crushers and REMAX impact crushers start at 23 tons operating weight and 250 tph production capacity. Like them, the REMAX 600 features a hybrid electrified drive concept.
The benefits of this diesel-electric plug-in solution are especially clear in the large crusher segment. An onboard Cummins X15 diesel engine pairs with a 520 kVA generator and predominantly electric auxiliary drives. Consequently, the REMAX 600 consumes up to 40% less diesel than comparable fully hydraulic or partially electrified systems, even under full load. Savings increase further with the optional mains connection, and the machine keeps full functionality.
The hybrid concept also delivers advantages in uptime and environmental performance. Fewer hydraulic systems mean reduced maintenance and fewer potential leak points. In addition, the onboard diesel engine consistently operates in a low-wear, low-speed load range. That results in lower noise levels and reduced exhaust emissions.
Equipment and Configuration Options
The REMAX 600 offers an extensive range of standard equipment and optional add-ons. As standard, a double-deck circular vibrating screen precedes the impact crusher (inlet: 55 x 40 in. / 1,380 x 1,000 mm). Attachable production screens are available with up to three decks.
For particularly high-quality recycled end products, the plant can take two discharge magnets. A cross-belt magnet sits directly above the main discharge conveyor. Meanwhile a highly efficient longitudinal discharge magnet sits above the multi-deck add-on screens. These screens can also carry up to three air classifiers.
SBM Mineral Processing keeps all equipment on the machine during one-piece transport. Thanks to quick-connect cabling, crews can remove the add-on screens quickly, which allows flexible use of the unit as a primary crusher. Furthermore, the intelligent SBM CRUSH CONTROL system supports fast commissioning. It enables safe, efficient operation even for less experienced operators, thanks to comprehensive sensor technology and automatic adjustment of all plant functions.

Mobile Concrete Production Without Compromise
That has been the promise of SBM EUROMIX mobile wet-batch mixing plants for more than 25 years. Without foundations, the plants can be installed and ready for operation in less than two days. High-precision dosing equipment and BHS twin-shaft mixers ensure consistent production of standard mixes, advanced specialty concretes or customer-specific recipes.
This versatility makes EUROMIX plants ideal for temporary use in road construction, civil engineering and tunneling projects. Increasingly, though, ready-mix producers and precast manufacturers also choose SBM Mineral Processing technology as a flexible alternative to stationary plants. That is especially true where space is limited or relocation capability is required.
Efficient insulation of the central EUROMIX mixer module, with integrated three-sided concrete discharge, enables year-round operation even under harsh conditions. Alongside the mixer and dosing technology, the module integrates plant electrics, a high-pressure water system for automated cleaning, and air compressors. Service access to all components from both sides ensures fast and safe maintenance.
Aggregates, binders and additives sit in portable silos, hoppers and storage modules that can be configured to match project requirements. Fully automated control and monitoring of the production process enables low-staff, 24/7 operation of the complete plant.
The EUROMIX Range
Today the SBM Mineral Processing EUROMIX series includes models with production capacities from 100 to well over 200 yd³/hr (80–175 m³/hr). That enables daily outputs of up to 2,600 yd³ (2,000 m³) of hardened concrete in a single shift, and significantly more when two plants run in parallel.
SBM’s two largest models reached the North American market just over two years ago, and both fall within this performance range. The EUROMIX 3300 SPACE offers a 4.35 yd³ batch and 190 yd³/hr (3.3 m³ / 145 m³/hr). Alongside it, the flagship EUROMIX 4000 features a 5.2 yd³ (4.0 m³) BHS twin-shaft mixer and a production capacity of 230 yd³/hr (175 m³/hr).

SBM Mineral Processing Wants North American Dealers
For both its mobile crushing plants and its concrete mixing plants, SBM Mineral Processing consistently relies on in-house developed components and key technologies from leading international partners. In-house production and assembly ensure consistently high quality standards. Equally, targeted standardization across models – for crusher add-ons or modular plant components, for instance – creates clear benefits in international sales and customer service while supporting competitive market offerings.
Accordingly, the company sees its mobile crushing plants and mobile concrete mixing technology as ideal spearheads for sustainable expansion in Canada and the United States. Following the successful example of its comprehensive European network, SBM’s expert teams in processing, recycling and concrete mixing technology support specialized dealers and distribution partners to achieve strong regional market penetration.
New partners will join the network in the near future, and SBM Mineral Processing is actively seeking additional contacts.
