Xwatch Safety Solutions Joins UK Plant Expo 2027 Line-Up

Xwatch Safety Solutions, part of Hexagon, has confirmed it will exhibit at UK Plant Expo 2027, the new two-day plant and machinery event set to take place at the Heart of England Showground in Warwickshire.

Taking place on 11 and 12 June 2027, UK Plant Expo will bring together manufacturers, dealers, plant hirers, contractors, operators and construction technology providers for two days of live digging, machine demonstrations and working displays.

The event is being launched by UK Plant Operators and will be built around the UK Plant Operator of the Year competition, giving it a strong operator-led focus from the outset. Rather than being a static trade show, the format is designed to put working machinery, real site skills and practical equipment demonstrations at the centre of the event.

For Xwatch Safety Solutions, the show provides a valuable opportunity to speak directly with the people using, managing, hiring and specifying construction equipment every day.

The company develops safety control systems for excavators and other construction machinery, including height limitation, slew restriction, rated capacity indication and safety systems designed to help reduce risk on site.

Its technology is used across a wide range of plant and equipment, supporting operators and site teams when working around overhead hazards, restricted zones, lifting operations and moving machinery. For contractors, plant hire companies and fleet operators, systems like these are becoming increasingly important as site safety, compliance, productivity and machine control continue to move closer together.

Dan Leaney, Head of Global Sales at Xwatch Safety Solutions, said: “UK Plant Expo 2027 gives us another opportunity to meet plant hirers, contractors, dealers and operators in a live working environment.

“Xwatch systems are designed for real site conditions, so events with live machinery and practical demonstrations are a good fit for us. Safety technology is always easier to understand when people can see how it works around the machine.”

The live demonstration format is likely to suit Xwatch well. Safety systems are often best understood when shown on working machinery, where visitors can see how height control, slew restriction and other machine safety functions operate in a real-world environment.

For plant hire businesses and contractors, that hands-on understanding can be valuable. Safety technology is not just about ticking a compliance box; when used correctly, it can help protect operators, ground workers, assets and surrounding infrastructure, while also supporting more confident machine operation on restricted or challenging sites.

Xwatch will use UK Plant Expo 2027 to showcase its latest technology, including next-generation systems and the growing role of telematics, machine data and integration with wider machine control platforms.

As construction equipment becomes more connected, safety systems are increasingly expected to do more than simply alert the operator. The ability to gather data, support fleet management and provide clearer insight into machine behaviour is becoming an important part of how contractors manage risk and improve operational standards.

Jemma Dycer Hopkins, Sales and Operations Manager at Xwatch Safety Solutions, said: “The operator-led element is one of the things that makes this event interesting for us. We spend a lot of time speaking to the people who run machines, manage fleets and make safety decisions on site, so this gives us another useful platform to have those conversations.

“Live events are important because they allow people to ask proper questions, see the technology up close and understand how safety systems work in real machine environments.”

UK Plant Expo 2027 is aiming to support a safer, smarter and more sustainable plant industry by bringing together machinery, technology and operator skill in one working event. With the UK Plant Operator of the Year competition at its core, the show is expected to attract a strong audience of operators, contractors and fleet decision-makers.

For Xwatch Safety Solutions, the event adds another platform to demonstrate how safety technology can work alongside modern construction machinery, attachments, hydraulics and machine control systems to improve site awareness and reduce risk.
