MB Crusher Attachments Find New Roles During the Summer

Summer is in full swing across much of the world, long days, blue skies, and plenty of sunshine. From Site to Spuds: Screening for Potato Waste

In the Netherlands – a country well-known for tulips, windmills, and potatoes – an MB-HDS314 padding bucket was put to work on an unconventional task: separating potato waste from soil, stones, and roots.

Thanks to MB Crusher’s rotary shaft system, the bucket completed the job quickly, even crushing damaged potatoes to aid composting. The result was full independence in waste management and a significant reduction in disposal costs.

Smashing Glass – Without the Noise

One customer needed a simple solution for recycling thin window glass and turned to the MB BF80.3 crusher bucket. Mounted on a CAT 320 GC excavator and adjusted to a closed jaw setting, it produced clean, uniform crushed material.

This process allowed the glass to be efficiently reintroduced into the production cycle, reducing waste while cutting costs – a quiet yet effective summer task.

A Summer Duo: Grapple and Telehandler

Elsewhere, the MB-G600 sorting grapple partnered with a Merlo telehandler in a unique combination. Together, the pairing offered both reach and precision, with the grapple’s 360° rotation and secure grip complementing the telehandler’s agility.

The result was efficient movement of everything from logs to concrete blocks – an unlikely summer team that proved highly effective.

On the Farm: The MB-G500 Grapple

In rural areas, summer is far from a holiday. Farmers turned to the MB-G500 sorting grapple to help with everyday agricultural tasks such as moving hay bales, shifting fodder, and handling farm materials.
